The winter season has officially begun at Georgetown! Along with snow comes… coats, hats, mittens, gloves, boots, and lots of lots of black snow pants. For this reason, please make sure that you label all of your first graders’ outerwear. Also, check to see if your child can put on and take off his/her winter things independently. You can even play “Beat the Clock” at home and challenge your first grader to see how fast he/she can get winter gear on and off without help (zipping included)! This is a great way to encourage independence in your child.
