Writing
This week we will be wrapping up our final unit on personal narrative writing by focusing on the key components of great stories. We will be looking at different pieces and identifying the trait that is lacking and offer suggestions for improvement. This will prepare us for our assessment of narrative writing next Monday.
Math
Solving word problems using 3 digit addition and subtraction will be a focus for us this week. We will practice our critical thinking by deciding when to ungroup or make new tens/hundreds/thousands.
Reading
This week we will be comparing different fairy tales and also identifying the lesson or the moral of the story. We will be looking at fractured fairy tales and predicting what events may happen next.
