Keep Practicing!

As we move closer to summer vacation, don’t forget to establish a routine so that your first grader (soon to be second grader!) retains valuable math and reading skills.

MOBYMAX and Raz-Kids allow for individualized math and reading practice on a mobile device or home computer and will be available throughout the summer. Through our very generous Parent Club, we have subscriptions for these websites. MOBYMAX Fact Master is great for fact fluency practice, just 5 minutes a night will provide the necessary review. Raz-Kids provides access to books at your child’s level and the mobile version is great for using on vacation. Just remember that as the books become more challenging, so do the quiz questions! Make sure that you are monitoring your child’s progress as he/she takes quizzes.

Here are some fun reading programs that your kids can do to keep up their reading skills! Click on the links below to find the reading logs for the Grand Valley Summer Reading Program and the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Triathlon.
